MORTARA PREPARES FOR AN EXCITING NEW SEASON Photo NewsFormer karting star Edoardo Mortara is preparing to take the next step up after a promising debut season in cars last year. The French-Italian drove in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2006, where he scored his first points and impressed onlookers with his speed and commitment. He also competed on the Italian Formula Renault Championship, where he was the top rookie in fourth overall. After an exciting debut season, the 20 year-old is now ready to progress his career and is currently putting the finishing touches to a deal that will be announced before February 10. In the meantime he has been testing and concentrating on fitness with Quadra Sports. The company’s fitness team has put Edoardo through his paces with a carefully-planned regime of exercise and training in order to prepare him for the season ahead. Edoardo said: “Last year was a very big year for me, but I think that this season coming up will be even more exciting. We had some good results in 2006, which was my first season of cars, but equally I made some mistakes that I have learned a lot from. Formula Renault was challenging, but the next step requires an even higher level of fitness, which is why I have been focussing on physical training over the last few weeks. I feel a lot stronger – both in my body and my mind – and I am ready for all the challenges that this year will throw at me.” For more information please contact: media@quadrasports.com www.edoardomortara.com Geneva 22/01/07
