TONY KART DRIVERS START 2007 IN STYLE WITH QUADRA COURSE
 Tony Kart, Quadra’s inaugural customer, has got the 2007 season underway with an intensive training course for 13 of the Italian firm’s most promising young karters.
Quadra Sports’ training course put the youngsters through their paces with a series of gruelling physical fitness assessments, as well as seminars focussing on sporting matters, race-craft, PR and marketing.
The 13 karters covered a wide variety of ages and nationalities, but they all had talent in common. The drivers – and nationalities – were: Marco Ardigo (I), Gary Catt (GB), James Calado (GB), Nicolaj Bollingtoft (DK), Daniel Mancinelli (I), Benjamin Bailly (B), Lorenzo Camplese (I), Patrick Fontner (A), Francesco Antonucci (I), Antonio Da Costa (P), Alessio Costantini (I), Will Stevens (GB) and Marcel Jeliniowski (D).
The Quadra Sports training course took place near Tony Kart’s headquarters in Prevalle, Italy, and covered three days.
Ardigo, one of the established drivers in the Tony Kart team, commented: “Having already had experience of the Quadra Sports training course before, I can recommend it 100%. Even experienced drivers will learn a lot about physical training, nutrition, PR and marketing, and race craft. It was very useful to revisit all these subjects: ideally drivers should attend such a course regularly throughout the year. One important lesson I have learnt is that you are always learning.”
