MORTARA PREPARES FOR 2008 SEASON WITH SIGNATURE Photo NewsFormula 3 Euroseries rookie champion Edoardo Mortara has dropped in on his Signature Team in order to have a seat fitting and meet his race engineer Olivier Bacchis ahead of the forthcoming season – where he will bid for the overall title. Signature, based in French town of Bourges, will run the all-new Volkswagen F3 engine this year – and Edoardo is greatly looking forward to the support of this prestigious manufacturer.

“Having Volkswagen on board is a very exciting opportunity for both me and the entire Signature team,” said Edoardo. “Volkswagen’s history in motorsport and Formula 3 speaks for itself, and so we will be working very hard to repay the faith they have shown in us. From my point of view, it’s been fantastic to get back to the Signature team and see all the guys again. I had some very useful meetings with Philippe Sinault, the team boss, and my engineer Olivier Bacchis. I just can’t wait to get started!”

Edoardo will visit the Volkswagen Motorsport factory in Hanover as well this week, and he will also complete some more fitness training with Quadra Sports in Italy.

The first race of this year’s F3 Euroseries takes place at Hockenheim from April 13-14 and testing of Signature’s new car will start from the middle of March.
